Flight Log - 2011-05-02 - Bob Francis's Phoenix 2

Named "Phoenix" since it was our second Sky Trax RTF following the destruction of the first one.  Primarily used to send up onboard video camera.

Launched with nosecone fitted with Altimeter One and payload contained video camera. Rocket shot horizontally to the northwest, across a busy street and hit a parked car about 200 yards northwest of the launch site. Parachute deployed and was ripped away.  Daniel found the parachute with no lines attached.  I found the rocket across the street.  No damage.  The onboard video camera was still recording and the Altimeter One had measured the apogee at 149 feet.
