Flight Log - 2018-11-24 - Matthew Bond's Rocketarium Vortico
A helicopter style odd-roc, with four "blades" that extend out from the central 18mm motor tube. Constructed from a total of 7 laser cut light plywood parts. Flight profile is high drag, low altitude, spin stabilized, very entertaining.

First flight of GRITS 2018. Damp, cold and foggy on the field, ceiling around 200 feet or so. Non-optimal boost, arcing over as soon as it left the rod (away from the flight line) although it still spun up pretty good. Ejection charge fired after the rocket had already hit the ground. No damage.
