Flight Log - 2018-09-22 - Matthew Bond's Rocketarium Mega Vortico

A helicopter style odd-roc, with four "blades" that extend out from the central 24mm motor tube.  Literally a larger version of the 18mm Vortico.  Constructed from a total of 7 laser cut light plywood parts.  Flight profile is high drag, low altitude, spin stabilized, very entertaining.

Something different to show the crowd of kids.  Arced pretty hard off the rod, nice loud spinning flight with lots of comments from the crowd.  Landed on the field before the ejection charge went off, recovered with no damage.  The friction fit motor was not as far into the motor mount as it could have been which I think contributed to the arcing flight path, still pretty cool.
