Flight Log - 2018-08-06 - Matthew Bond's Apogee Mini Condor 002

13mm Boost Glider with unique plastic molded wing joint that gives both a fixed dihedral angle to the balsa wings, but also sets the incident angle of the entire wing when it is attached to the fuselage boom, greatly simplifying both construction and trimming.  Standard boost pod arrangement with a molded plastic glider hook.

Spent the early morning at the field hand tossing both gliders and permanently attaching the wings.  Both gliders had decent glides but number 002 seemed to be a little less squirrelly so I used that for my competition flights.  I had over sanded the fuselage boom where it interfaces with the boost pod hook, so I put some thin CA on the boom to build it back up and get a better fit.  Nice straight boost off a standard 1/8 inch rod, good ejection right at apogee.  Glider made a good transition and boost pod recovered under streamer.  Not much to speak of in the way of lift/thermals, ended up with a 22 second qualified flight.
