Flight Log - 2021-02-21 - Ken E. Coyote's Orange Bullet

Initially built stock, but later modified with kevlar line epoxied to inside nosecone base and other end has a small piece of Nomex.  A bit of excess line is then taped to the side of the motor so that during ejection it pulls out the line as well as keeps the rocket closer to the motor (rather than shooting it away in opposite directions.

Rocket Name: Orange Bullet
Kit Name: Estes - Orange Bullet {Kit} (7295) [2020-]
Flyer's Name: Ken E. Coyote
Motors: A8-3
Launch Site: Frozen Lake
Actual Altitude: 500.00 Feet

First new rocket since my return to rocketry after 6 years away.  Used A8 figuring it wouldn't be a problem, but oh boy...sucker shot up quickly and out of sight!  I did see the delay charge, but couldn't see the rocket at all since it was too high up.  A long search across the frozen lake (which had a lot of snow clumps from snowmobiles) resulted in my finding the motor first and later the rocket about 500' away!  After this I decided to try something to prevent this from happening again.
