Flight Log - 2013-04-07 - Jeff Boldig's Dog Whistle DD

3" diameter 38mm Dual Deployment rocket.  This is a sport flyer to give me something to fly 38mm motors with.  The fins are 3/4" wide at the base, 1/4" wide at the tip.  There is a 1/2" wide slot from tip to BT in each fin to make it whistle.

Update:  It doesn't whistle so the name has been changed to Dog Whistle.  This is Dog Whistle DD because it is the dual deployment version.

Flight Date: 2013-04-07
Rocket Name: Dog Whistle DD
Flyer's Name: Jeff Boldig
Motors: H123W-ALTIM
Expected Altitude: 1,100.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 12.00 mph
Launch Site: Battle Park
Actual Altitude: 1,068.00 Feet

Windy today.  No weathercocking at all, perfectly straight up.  That added to the walk.  Main chute dragged the rocket so the booster was full of dirt when I got to it.  Slight nick in the foward edge of the tube from being dragged, but no other damage.
