(Sport Rocketry - Summer 1996 - page 31 - by Alex Seltsikas)

[Picture]"The instructions consist of a single sheet of paper with a series of small diagrams on one side detailing the construction steps, and a diagram of the rocker together with the lettering and markings on the reverse side."
"PML's phenolic tubing is excellent - heavy but really strong.  It comes pre-slotted. . ."
"The fins are made of "G-10 phenolic". . . .They are completely rigid and very strong."
"Other outstanding features in this kit include an ejection piston . . ."
"You get one of PML's "Kwik Switch" mounts in the kit."
"You get adapters to scale down from 54mm to 38mm to 29mm."
"The kit slots together like a child's wooden jigsaw puzzle."
"The first flight was with a single-use Aerotech G80-3T and I wouldn't use anything less than that . . ."
"A fantastic kit - a joy to build and fly."

The entire article gives the impression is that this kit is a good value for beginners in high power rocketry.

GUEST's OPINION:
06/00 - "I have flown the PML AMRAAM 3 on several sizes of motors from the I161 to the J570. With the J570 it went to 6800 ft. at near mach speed. It flew great every time with perfect recovery." (L.M.)

GUEST's OPINION:
09/99 - "IMHO this would make an excellent Level 1 kit. It's fairly easy to put together, looks great and flies wonderfully on an H128-S. It'll fly on a G75 so you could test before the cert flight." (A.M.C.)

GUEST's OPINION:
"I found the directions to be straight forward and easy to follow, however I am very disappointed with the fit of the pieces. The outer diameter of the nose cone is noticeably smaller than the OD of the airframe. The coupler included with the kit is smaller than the ID of the airframe tubes, causing the rocket to not fit together well at the separation point. Plus it required considerable amount of masking tape to get the desired friction fit between upper and lower airframe." (S.F.)

GUEST's OPINION:
"I found the kit fun ( and easy) to build. A very strong kit. I have flown it on I-300 and 357 Motors. Perfect flight every time. It was my level 1 kit and might be my level 2. It is my all around sport flyer. PML has great kits plus other great goodies." (C.M.)

GUEST's OPINION:
"This was a great kit to build, and it looks beautiful when done. Flew on a I-211 down in Muncie. Looked and sounded great!!!" (J.W.)
